The systems we build with
Four ModularWalls systems cover most Melbourne boundaries. Which one suits a site comes down to height, acoustic requirement, finish, and how the gates and access need to integrate.

VogueWall
Used at Chelsea and Brighton East, finished in Dulux Acratex and Acrasand.
VogueWall
EstateWall
Diamond Creek, Camberwell, Seaford and The Glen — the system behind most of the lit, gated boundaries.
EstateWall
TrendWall
Brighton for SAW Constructions, using Express joining profiles across a mixed development.
TrendWall
SlimWall
Craigieburn childcare, painted to the project schedule, and a landscaped front boundary at Reservoir.
SlimWall
Acoustic solutions
for real-world noise.
Residential and commercial noise-wall systems — boundary acoustic walls for homes, and sound walls separating commercial operations from the properties next to them.
Acoustic walls
Point Cook
An approximately 3.6 m high ModularWalls acoustic wall on UC150 posts, separating a shopping centre loading dock from nearby residential properties.
Residential noise walls
Acoustic boundary systems for homes on busy roads and rail-adjacent sites, detailed to match the rest of the boundary rather than read as a barrier.

Walls. Gates. Access.
One finished system.
Sliding, swing and telescopic gates that can be motorised, hardwired, solar-powered or manual, built with the wall, intercom, parcel box and lighting as one system.

Sliding gates
Run horizontally on a track, so they suit narrow driveways and work on uneven or sloped ground. Where there is not enough run-back space, a telescopic gate does the same job in a shorter run — as at Chelsea.

Swinging gates
Single or double leaf, mechanically simpler than a sliding gate and quieter to run. Generally the cheaper install where the driveway has room for the swing.

Automation and access
Motorised, hardwired, solar-powered or manual, with in-post motors, wireless and phone-enabled intercoms, and Milkcan parcel boxes built into the wall.
Also delivered as part of a boundary
Metal and aluminium fencing
Colorbond, aluminium and steel picket, aluminium slat, chain-link, corrugated metal and privacy screens. Slats spaced for airflow or closed for full privacy.
Retaining walls
Hold soil on a slope before it undermines a structure — recovering usable flat ground and improving drainage in the process.

Design-and-build where the site calls for it. At Chelsea the telescopic gate was chosen because there was not enough run-back space for a standard sliding gate — not because it was next in a catalogue.
How a project runs
- 01
Site inspection
Levels, access, soil conditions, drainage and power for automation are assessed on site, so the quote is accurate.
- 02
Scope and free quote
We confirm what the wall or gate needs to do — privacy, security, noise or street appeal — and provide a clear quote, including the rules and regulations that apply to the job.
- 03
Approvals
If your job needs council approval, we will flag it at the quote and talk you through what applies.
- 04
Install and hand over
An efficient install with a clean finish and a practical handover.

What are ModularWalls best used for?
Boundary and front walls where a fence would not be enough — privacy, street appeal and noise reduction in one structure. Acoustic-rated options are available, they come in classic or contemporary styling, and go up quickly because the panels are lightweight. OzWalls builds with VogueWall, EstateWall, TrendWall and SlimWall, at heights from around 1.5 m up to 3.6 m depending on the system and the site.
Will installing a modular wall reduce noise pollution to my house?
There are many factors, but the short answer is yes. When quoting, we look at where the noise comes from, where it gets into the house — windows, doors and other openings — and the wall height needed to deflect and absorb it. Sound engineers can be engaged for data-driven results. The clearest example is Point Cook, where an approximately 3.6 m ModularWalls acoustic wall on UC150 posts separates a shopping centre loading dock from the homes behind it.
Can you match paint colours and finishes (e.g. Dulux Half Moon)?
Yes. Two Upper Plenty projects were finished in Dulux Half Moon, Seaford has posts finished in Santorini stone with Axon cladding, and Brighton East used a Dulux Acratex and Acrasand finish. Walls are also painted to a project schedule on commercial work — the Craigieburn childcare centre was finished to the builder’s specified colours.
What types of metal and aluminium fencing do you install?
Colorbond, aluminium picket, steel picket, aluminium slat, chain-link, corrugated metal and metal privacy screens — on their own or combined with a modular wall. Slat spacing can be opened for airflow or closed for full privacy. The Craigieburn childcare centre has a child-safe internal entry in 68 mm aluminium slats.
Is aluminium fencing low maintenance?
Yes. Aluminium is rust and corrosion resistant, which matters on bayside and coastal sites, and powder-coated finishes need little more than an occasional clean. It is also lighter than steel or wrought iron, so it is easier to install and easier on gate hardware.
Can you automate an existing gate?
OzWalls supplies and installs sliding and swinging driveway gates that can be motorised, hardwired, solar-powered or left manual, and fits access hardware such as intercoms and parcel boxes. Automation can often be retrofitted to an existing timber, steel, aluminium or rural gate, provided it is structurally sound, properly aligned and within the motor’s weight capacity; a warped or poorly hung gate may need reinforcing first. Retrofitting is often cheaper than replacing the gate — send photos and we will tell you.
What happens to an automatic gate during a power outage?
Modern systems have a manual release key, and can be fitted with battery backup or run on solar. Battery backup keeps the gate working through short outages; in a longer one, the gate is released and opened by hand.
Can you build on sloped or difficult blocks?
Yes, and it is usually the reason people call. Sliding gates run on a track and work on uneven or sloped ground, walls are set out to the fall and levels of the site rather than to a standard panel run, and retaining walls handle slopes directly. At Chelsea a telescopic gate was used specifically because there was not enough run-back space for a standard sliding gate.
Why do I need a retaining wall?
To stop soil moving. On a slope, soil slides downhill over time, which can undermine structures and create safety problems. A retaining wall holds it, and in doing so usually recovers usable flat land, improves drainage and tidies up the look of the block.
Do retaining walls need drainage?
In most cases, yes. Drainage relieves the water pressure that builds up behind the wall and extends its life. The right approach depends on the site.
Do you service all of Melbourne?
Yes. OzWalls is Melbourne-based and services all of Melbourne and the surrounding areas, with projects from Point Cook and Craigieburn to Mornington and Diamond Creek. Outside the usual patch? Just ask.
How do I get a quote?
Send your plans, drawings, photos or measurements through the enquiry form, or call 0455 416 644. The more you can show of the site — boundary, levels, driveway access — the more accurate the quote.
Do you do site inspections?
Yes. A site inspection lets us assess levels, access, soil conditions, drainage and power for automation, so the quote is accurate.
